Giovacchino Maglioni (1808-1888) was director of
the Organ School at the Royal Music Institute of Florence, Italy, today known
as the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory. A widely renowned musician and composer,
especially in the field of sacred music, he was the author of an impressive
method for organ, the most important ever to appear in Italy, presented here in
a prestigious anastatic edition.
