Juri Meda (b. 1976 in Cremona) is a research fellow with the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy at the University of Macerata, where he lectures in the history of education. He was awarded a doctorate in historical research by the University of Parma in 2005, and he worked for the National Documentation Institute for Innovation and Research in Education, in Florence, where he was in charge of the institute’s historical archive, from 2002 to 2008. He also promoted the implementation of the National Documentary Network of Historical Collections of Exercise Books and Teaching Papers (FISQED). He is a member of the editorial staff of the international History of Education & Children’s Literature review. He has published numerous articles and essays in scientific publications, most of them devoted to the nationalisation of childhood in the contemporary world. He is the author of: Stelle e strips.
