Dean of the
Faculty of Engineering, Professor of Construction Science, Coordinator of the
PhD in Structure Engineering based at the University of Florence, scientific
manager of numerous research projects including the most recent on seismic risk
and durability of reinforced concrete works. Representative of the CNR within
the Fédération International du Béton (FIB), President of the National
Commission "Structures in normal and prestressed reinforced concrete"
of the UNI, Italian Regulatory Body, and Italian representative to the
corresponding European Commission of the European Committee for Standardization
CEN: the main task of the Commission is to contribute to the definition of
technical legislation in the European context, both for structural codes (Eurocodes)
both for product standards. President of the Order of Engineers of the Province
of Florence for the years 1998-99 and 2000-01, Franco Angotti in January 2001
had special delegation of the Rector for Housing of the Polo Sociale di Novoli
and for the Polo di Santa Marta.
