A new eye rediscovers the lifeblood flowing through the matter of art, a matter that habits had made inanimate.

In many of the 47 shots enclosed in this volume, the Iranian photographer Boostandoost catches great sculptures in black and white. Then, with the help of color, he revitalizes some significant parts, including hands “stretched out in a desperate plea for help”. “In the work of Maziar” – Daniel Nepi writes in the introductory text – “the anxiety of redemption is present and tangible: it is the same anxiety that torments the need for expressing themselves through strong and profound images, in order to communicate the irrepressible desire to inspire the dreams that the flow of history tries to suffocate”.
