In particolare: vita, morte, amore, sonno, insonnia, sogni.

Una introduzione e brevi note spiegano tale scelta, nonché la straordinaria intesa che si stabilì fra i due artisti. In una originale conclusione, vengono presentati due delicati e meno noti testi che sigillano il dialogo esistenziale fra i due.

Life, death, love, sleep, insomnia, dreams: a dialogue between two great 20th century Russian poetsAfter having studied and translated the works by Marina Cvetaeva and Andrej Tarkovskij, Irina Dvizova and Emiliano Panconesi selected some poems regarding very suggestive and fascinating themes - such as life, death, love, sleep, insomnia, dreams- that both the poets deepened. The introduction presents an outline of the very dramatic biographies of these two poets. Marina Cvetaeva was born in Moscow in 1892 and died by suicide in Elabuga (Tatarstan) in 1941; Arsenij Tarkovskij was born in Elisavetgrad (Ukraine) in 1907 and died, old and invalid, in Moscow in 1989. The poems chosen for this publication, presented in Russian and in Italian translation with parallel text, are among the best and most significant works of the two poets and represent an ideal timeless dialogue on poetry, friendship and love. The drawings were done explicitly for this volume. There is a commentary on the concepts of sleep and dream either in Russian culture and for these two poets, and other notes about the correspondence between Marina, Boris Pasternak and Rainer Maria Rilke. The volume closes with the “Last Dialogue”, a kind of epilogue made up of two beautiful less known poems, the first written by Tarkovskij and surely read by Cvetaeva, and the other written by her in reply, just a few months before her death. The last existential dialogue between these two great poets.
