Pier Luigi Ballini

Pier Luigi Ballini taught at the universities of Bologna and Florence and is a professor of contemporary history at the faculty of political sciences “Cesare Alfieri” of the Florence university. He dedicated researches, essays and volumes to diverse periods of the Italian history from the 19th century to the aftermath of WW2, with references to the political institutions and activities of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Italy.
He contributed to the most important journals of contemporary history and directed “In/Formazione”. He was a part of the board of the Società Toscana Italiana per lo Studio della Storia Contemporeana and is a part of the board of the Società Toscana per la Storia del Risorgimento and of the Istituto per la Storia della Resistenza in Toscana and of the Società Italiana di Studi Elettorali.
