Valery K. Jeremčenko (Bishkek, 1949), graduated in biology and ecology at the State National University of the Kyrgyz Republic, and leading scientist of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. The main scientific interests are the biogeography, taxonomy and speciation of herpetofauna of the Central Asia.
Author of about 100 scientific papers, including the descriptions of new species and genera, and three monographs.

Responsabile del Museo Zoologico presso la National Academy of Sciences della Repubblica Kyrgyz, Valery K. Jeremčenko ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca presso l’Istituto di Zoologia di Kiev, in Ucraina.
