Who we are
Since a decade the publishing house Polistampa, whose premises are today in Florence, via Livorno 8/32, is a significant reality in the Italian publishing world. Its catalogue is made up of more than 3,000 titles: contemporary, modern and classic literature; precious art exhibition catalogues; correspondence, dramas, and poetry; academic and erudition essays. The over 100 existing book series frame every human activity: from medicine to enngineering, from astrology to visual arts, from economic sciences to philosophy, from history to social sciences. The company’s main seat occupy about 4,000 square meters divided in editing, prepress, typography, bindery and stores. About 50 people (employees and professional collaborators) work there. Many Italian famous writers and personalities published their works with Polistampa: Fernando Botero, Massimo Cacciari, Franco Cardini, Bruno Cicognani, Rodolfo Doni, Alessandro Fo, Carlo Emilio Gadda, Pietro Grossi, Emiliano Gucci, Mario Luzi, Fosco Maraini, Alessandro Parronchi, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Guido Piovene, Antonio Pizzuto, Giuseppe Pontiggia, Angelo Maria Ripellino, Aldo Rosselli, Edoardo Sanguineti, Vittorio Sgarbi, Enzo Siciliano, Giovanni Spadolini, Pietro Spirito, Antonio Tabucchi, Giuseppe Ungaretti, Marco Vichi.
